The AC45 is a GSM/GPRS-based radio module that has been optimized for tough use in the automotive sector. The exceptionally fast data transfer via GPRS facilitates the realization of any conceivable application in this field.

By launching this product onto the marketplace, the Siemens Wireless Modules division has produced the first module to offer error-free operation up to a temperature of over 75 degrees Celsius.

In view of the relatively long product cycles in the automotive sector, Siemens also guarantees long availability of its radio module. On top of all this, the AC45 is the first module to incorporate SIM Access Profile (SAP). This means that all voice and telematic services within a vehicle can access information on the cell phone's SIM card via Bluetooth, without the driver having to take the card out of the phone.
